Dr. Astecker knows companies from the perspective of a management consultant and, conversely, has himself managed an international company as COO.

He has more than 30 years of experience in holistic management consulting, as a trainer in management development, speaker at business schools and guest speaker as well as in general management as head of business units and as a member of the executive board and COO. He worked at Malik Management / Management Zentrum St. Gallen, Switzerland, for 22 years, most recently as COO. Cybernetic, system-oriented management (summarized in the internationally renowned St. Gallen Management Model) and the management of complexity in business models and value chains as well as transformations were the core services of the consulting firm.

As a management consultant, he got to know many companies in different industries from the perspective of a C-level consultant - with deep insights into the corporate structure, strategies and he got to know the top performers and their challenges in a wide variety of functions and situations. From decades of experience, he knows about the importance of the fit between business excellence and people excellence.

Wolfgang Astecker holds a PhD in Social and Economic Sciences from the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria and a Master of International Management from Thunderbird of the American Graduate School of International Management, Arizona, USA. He has taught for many years at SMBS (Salzburg Management Business School) and other educational institutions.
