Dr. Mischa Ritter
Senior Advisor
Dr. Ritter can look back on more than 20 years of professional experience in managing growth companies and restructuring. For more than a decade, as a board member (COO), he shaped the development of zooplus SE, the leading online platform for pet supplies in Europe and one of the continent's largest e-commerce providers.
In his role, he was responsible for the holistic and sustainable development of one of the most successful e-commerce companies in Europe, serving over 8 million customers in 30 European countries. His responsibilities included key areas of the company such as logistics, private labels, accessories and customer service. He not only overcame strategic challenges, but also played a key role in shaping the company's operational structures.
Under his leadership, a pan-European fulfillment network with 13 international locations was established, achieving an annual parcel capacity of approximately 80 million shipments. The significant successes included not only a tenfold increase in sales, but also a successful sale of the company at a valuation of EUR –3.7 billion, a premium of 85% at the 3-month average rate – and a delisting of the M-Dax.
Before working at zooplus, Dr. Ritter works in corporate banking at HSBC and in corporate performance/restructuring at Roland Berger.
He is currently concentrating on advisor mandates, particularly in the areas of e-commerce, logistics and operations.
