Mr. Buchholz has over 30 years of experience in operational, commercial and strategic areas of the mobility industry. The combination of various worldwide positions with operators (airlines) and suppliers (engines; airplanes, trains) in management positions with a span of purchasing, strategy, sales, communication as well as customer service complements the KeyPlayer team with a worldwide unique knowledge. Building on his technical and economic university education and his various management positions at Airbus, Rolls Royce Germany and Lufthansa, he has been involved in all aircraft developments, including aircraft not yet certified. His activities, strategic direction and vision have led to the launch of the A220 and A320NEO, both based on the Geared TurboFan, to name just two projects. Further activities were in the area of M&A in the aviation (supplier) segment. He has also been active for many years in environmental sustainability and efficiency improvement projects and as a coach for start-ups worldwide. Furthermore, as a globally recognized expert, Mr. Buchholz is frequently in demand in many developments in mobility - economically, operationally, technically and environmentally, but also politically.
